First Bank enhances frontiers of e-banking with FirstMonie app

WHILE  financial institutions are responding creatively with several applications that give the banking and non-banking public instant access to their funds on the go, First Bank is enhancing  frontiers of e-banking with FirstMonie App.

The product, according to Mrs. Folake Ani-Mumuney, Head, Marketing and Corporate ommunications   is the fast, safe and convenient mobile money service from the  First Bank.

“With Firstmonie lets you send and receive money, buy airtime, make purchases and pay bills all from your mobile phone without a bank account.

This app makes it even more convenient for you to access your Firstmonie account directly from your handheld device” she explained.

She further informed that the  Firstmonie App was recently upgraded to include mobile banking features that will enable FirstBank account holders access and transact directly from their accounts. FirstMonie app, according to the Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications  can be downloaded from  various mobile devices including iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry and all Java enabled phones.

With the Firstmonie app, she said that customers can  do the following via their  mobile wallet or bank account:Send/Receive Money, Send money to any mobile phone (whether registered on Firstmonie or not), Send money to any FirstBank account, Receive money from any other bank account

Buy Airtime, Credit your mobile phone directly with airtime from your preferred network, Credit other mobile phones with airtime from any network, Withdraw Money, Make cardless withdrawals at ATM

Make withdrawals at Firstmonie agent of FirstBank Branch, Pay Bills, Pay utility bills, cable TV bills, subscriptions and state payment bills, Shopping, Pay for items at Firstmonie merchant i.e. shops, restaurants and supermarkets, Money Transfer between linked accounts, Transfer money from Bank account to Wallet, Transfer Wallet to Bank account, Check Balance, Check mobile wallet balance

Check bank account balance, among others.

With the solution, she said that users can generate tokens for cash withdrawal from any FirstBank ATM nationwide without an ATM card, adding that cash  tokens can be generated and sent to anyone within Nigeria for cash withdrawal.
