Former captain of the national team Henry Nwosu has described the late Nigerian midfield maestro, Thompson Oliha as “a fantastic footballer who did a lot for both club and country.”

Nwosu who was a team-mate of the fallen Nigeria international described Oliha’s death as shocking.

“He was a friend, team mate and neighbour at Festac. Oliha was an easy going guy; he was a nuice fellow,” Nwosu said.

He recalled that “as a national team and club player, he was an excellent player. He was such a player that was always ready to give his all. He was indeed, an excellent player.”
