Promise Isaac shocked by Eneramo snub

Promise Isaac has expressed shock over Michael Eneramo’s snub by Nigeria as a replacement for injured Emmanuel Emenike.

Eagles coach Stephen Keshi considered Werder Bremen striker Joseph Akpala ahead of Eneramo in the place of Emenike in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers as well as the FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil all in June.

“Eneramo has always been a good goal scorer and consistent. I was surprised he was not called at last for Eagles. He has done well scoring goals for Sivasspor,” Turkey-based Promise Isaac told a Lagos radio station.

“The coaches have the final say on who he picks, so he knows the reason why he chose Akpala over him. But I believe Eneramo will still have another chance.”
