Pillars spend N35m to clear bonuses

Kano Pillars have settled all outstanding match bonuses and other allowances totalling 35 million Naira, officials said.

Pillars spokesman Idris Malikawa revealed that the board led by Abba Yola promised the players a good welfare package.

“We paid all outstanding match bonuses for our players and some other expenses amounting to 35 million Naira. The board chairman Abba Yola told the players that their welfare is the top priority and tasked them to keep doing their best, Malikawa said.

“He also thanked the state Governor for his support to the team and said he hope the government releases more funds for payment of sign-on fees soon.”

Champions Pillars are currently second on the league table with 22 points.
