ABUJA – Sequel to the recommendation of the National Judicial Council, NJC, President Goodluck Jonathan, Tuesday, approved the appointment of 12 new judges for the National Industrial Court, NIC,

Those elevated judges are;  the Chief Registrar of the NIC, Mrs. Rakiya B. Haastrup, Mr. Waziri Abali, Assistant Director (Administration) of the National Law Reform Commission, Mrs Rabi H. Gwandu, Director (Administration) of the Federal Judicial Service Commission, Mr. Lawal Mani, Assistant Chief Registrar, NIC Jos Division, Mrs. Olufunke Yemi Anuwe, Director of Studies at the NJI, Mr. John Dele Peters.

Others are Chief Magistrate Oyejoju O. Oyewumi, Mrs. Edith N. N. Agbakoba, Mr. Amadi Kenneth Ikechukwu, Mrs. Anthonia Ndidi Ubaka, Mr. Peter Odo Lifu and Mr. Ebeye David E. Isele.

According to a press statement by the Acting Director of Information at the NJC, Mr Soji Oye, the new judges will be sworn-in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Mariam Aloma Muhktar on May 22 at the Supreme Court.
