
Enyimba attacking midfielder, Ayo Saka has said his side are on the path towards achieving their ambition in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The Aba club defeated Bayelsa United 2-0 in the NPFL Matchday 13 encounter at the Enyimba International Stadium on Sunday.
Saka scored the first goal for his side while former Niger Tornadoes’ hitman and the side’s top scorer, Sibi Gwar scored the second.
Both goals came in the first half of the encounter.
Saka said his side’s victory against hard fighting Bayelsa United is evidence that the good times are back for the two-time African champions.
“The victory is a good omen and a strong indication of more victories to come our way in the league.
“The spirit among my teammates is very high and I assure you that Enyimba are on the march again.
“Bayelsa United are a good side, they gave us a tough time but thank God we were able to overwhelm them.
“The win is a morale boost heading into the next games,” said the former Ocean Boys midfielder to supersport.com.
The People’s Elephants’ win against Bayelsa United has shot up their points haul to 19 from a possible 39.
