CAF CL: Rangers expected tomorrow

Enugu Rangers FC are expected to return to Nigeria on Wednesday March 20, 2013 after playing out a goalless draw with Vital O FC in Bujumbura, Burundi.

The Flying Antelopes forced their opponent to a scoreless draw in Burundi in the first leg first round of the CAF Champions League played on Sunday 17 March 2013 in Bujumbura.

“Our players and officials will return to Nigeria on Wednesday, the club wrote on its official twitter handle.

Team skipper Godwin Anyalogu said after the gruelling encounter that they were satisfied with the result.

Adding that they should finish off their opponent in the second leg.

“We played a good game. The boys did well. We should finish them off in the second leg,” Anyalogu posited through the official twitter handle of the Flying Antelopes

The Flying Antelopes made the trip to Bujumbura without a full strength squad as they are yet to clear some of their new signings.

Rangers who are one of the two teams flying Nigeria’s flag in this years’ CAF Champions League have vowed to complete the business of qualification in the second leg in Enugu in a fortnight.
