Demolition: I’ll step on toes – Delta commissioner

BY Austin  Ogwuda

Asaba—DELTA State Commissioner for Environment, Chief Frank Omare, Sunday, said he was ready to step on toes in carrying out the demolition of illegal structures commencing today, (Monday) in Asaba.

Speaking to Vanguard in Asaba, Omare said: “There is no going back on the demolition of the illegal structures. It is unfortunate that some persons knew the right thing to do yet they built on waterways and unapproved portions.

“Look at the Head Bridge in Asaba, it is a sham. Anambra people have cleared their side and here, people have turned it into a ghetto. This the gateway to the East.”
