Port Harcourt: Chevron Nigeria Limited, CNL has donated relief materials worth several millions of naira to victims of the flood disaster in Rivers State.

Coordinator, GMoU of the company, Mr Tom Akagboso, who spoke while presenting the relief materials to the Deputy Governor of the state, Engr. Tele Ikuru, said it was to assist victims of the disaster.

Items donated include bags of rice, beverages, palm and vegetable oils etc.

He said they had earlier donated fifty million naira to the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, for victims of the disaster in the country.

The Deputy Governor of the state, Mr. Tele Ikuru, who received the items, promised that they would be fairly distributed to victims of the disaster.

He graciously thanked the firm for the donation, just as he appealed for more support for victims of the disaster.
