Lafia—Senator representing Nasarawa North, Sen. Solomon Ewuga, CPC, yesterday, dissociated himself from the ethnic crisis in Nasarawa South Senatorial District of the state.
Ewuga distanced himself from the crisis in a statement made available to newsmen in Lafia.
Ewuga, however, condemned the recent crisis between Eggon people in Assakio and the recent one between them and Koro people at Agyaragu.
The lawmaker expressed shock over the loss of lives and property as a result of the crises in Agyaragu and Assakio.
He said: “We have for long been living as brothers and sisters in the state. Why is it now that we have to take arms and begin to kill each other?
“There is the need for all of us to know that we are our brother’s keeper and that the whole state belongs to all of us. As such we should learn to embrace dialogue whenever there is disagreement.
“We should do this anywhere we find ourselves as no meaningful achievement can be recorded in an atmosphere of rancour.”
