LAGOS — A 29 year old man, Chibueze Nwobodo, was yesterday, arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate Court for allegedly assaulting a police officer, Adebayo Rasaq with Number F/ No 457218PC attached to Man Centre Police Station in Ikeja.

Nwobodo and others at large, are facing a three count charge of assault and resistance of arrest.

The police prosecutor, Inspector Roman Unuijse, told the court that Nwobodo and others at large, committed the offence on November 20, at about 8:15 a.m., at No. 13, Oba Akran Avenue by AP Filling Station, in Ikeja area of Lagos.

After the charges was read to him, he pleaded not guilty to the three count charge.

And Magistrate Komolafe granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.

She therefore adjourned the matter till December 17, 2012, for trial.
