ADO EKITI — The  Federal Character Commission, FCC, has asked the Presidency to forward the list of current political appointees to the Commission’s office  with a view to rectify the anomalies and lopsidedness in terms of appointments

The Federal commissioner representing Ekiti State in the Commission, Dr. Dele Afolabi, dropped the hint during the official commissioning of the Commission’s office in Ado Ekiti yesterday.

According to him, the letter was conveyed to the President through the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

He equally revealed that the president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, has set up a committee to look into allegation of imbalance in terms of employment as raised by some interested groups.

The FCC boss  said none of the six states in the zone could complain of marginalisaton because they all have the required 2.7 per cent in the civil service in  line with the FCC formulae.
