Vice President Namadi Sambo has called on architects, interior designers and other stakeholders in the building profession to partner with the Federal Government in its transformation agenda, which included the provision of accessible and affordable housing for Nigerians.

Sambo made this call while delivering the keynote address at the just-concluded Interior Design Excellence Awards/Exhibition, IDEA, organised by Essential Interiors Magazine and Palm3 Concepts in Lagos.

He said the bedrock of nation building was partly anchored on the activities of professions like architecture and interior design.

The VP, who was represented on the occasion by the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Ibrahim Mahe, said the Federal Government had approved the National Housing and Urban Development Policies.

Founder of IDEA Nigeria, Titi Ogufere, said the programme was organised to bring together experts who will give their unique and expert perspective on current issues facing interior design, architecture and building industry across the globe.
