NIGERIA Labour Congress, NLC, has described the victory of Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State, in Saturday gubernatorial election as a renewed hope for the nation’s democracy.

In a congratulatory message to Governor Mimiko, Acting General Secretary of NLC, Comrade Emma Ugboaja, NLC urged the re-elected governor to “re-double his effort and ensure that the quality of life in Ondo State improves through massive job creation, quality education, industrialization, road construction, etc.”

According to NLC: “While we congratulate Dr. Mimiko as the candidate, we believe the people of Ondo State who conducted themselves peacefully before, during and after the election deserve a lot of commendation.

“We also commend all the security agencies for the impartial manner they conducted their duties.
