Japanese fans speak on Falconets performance, chances

Since the competition began, Japanese fans have been so supportive and cheering the Falconets to win each time they played, especially, the Japanese who are married to Nigerian men or women .

But playing against their national team in the third place match today would be a different ball game in terms of support. Saturday Vanguard Sports spoke to some of the fans after the match against USA  on their take against Nigeria in today’s third place match. Excerpts!

Nogami Kyohei

They are a good team and also are very physical and determined . But against us on Saturday the better side would definitely win. And I believe at the end of the match the better side would emerge winner.

Ryo Kanai

There is no doubt that the Nigerian girls are good but football is more of the physical and it also requires much tactics. What I believe is the better side would win.

Shingo Yokoyama

The Falconets have more skillful  players than the USA but Nigerian players were deficient in terms of technique. I will tell you why. USA is better coached and took better decisions. Here are some of your mistakes: Your defenders never look behind, during “in-motion” crosses to see who’s lurking behind them, hence USA’s first goal. Falconets never shore up in the pocket of space between opponents for an easy outlet pass, rather, you let your players waste precious energy trying to dribble out of trouble. You never made the quick easy passes. You pass in dangerous areas. You never shoot low.

Lee Harunari

They are good and physical with much discipline but then playing against Nigeria will be tough because both teams are very strong.

Chiaki Kato

So far, the Nigerian team have been brilliant in the their performance but they could not dominate their possession thus far. But then playing Japan is going to be a very tough match because both teams are very good.
