The Federal Government has restated its commitment to the building of a robust engineering capacity in the country.

Minister of Works,  Mike Onolememen, an architect, made the declaration at the just-concluded 21st Engineering Assembly organised by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, COREN.

The Minister who stressed the important role played by engineers in national development, said  the Works ministry as the supervisory ministry of COREN, will always be home to all engineers in the country.

He stated that the efficient execution of roads construction and rehabilitation projects depends to a large extent on the capacity and integrity of the engineering personnel of the Ministry handling them.
