
Ngozi in her chieftaincy attire
Veteran actress, Ngozi Ezeonu has joined the league of Nollywood stars who have been honoured with a Chieftaincy title.
The renowned script interpreter was honoured with a Chieftaincy title last Sunday, (August 12)in her hometown of Ihiteoweri, Imo state.
The light skinned actress was conferred with the title, Ada Ife, which literally means ‘daughter of light’ by His Royal Highness, C.F.N Ezerioha III.
Some of her colleagues including, Queen Nwokoye, Emeka Amakeze, Ngozi Nkebakwa Emeka Ani and others were present to add colour to the event.
Ezeonu hit stardom with her role in the movie‘ Glamour Girls’. She was given a supporting lead role in her first movie titled ‘Nneka, The Pretty Serpent’. Her first paying job was as a hair-stylist before she did a diploma course in Journalism.
The beautiful actress practiced journalism for a while before she veered into acting in 1993. As one of the respected actresses in Nollywood, Ezeonu has paid her dues in the industry and therefore, deserves the honour that her kinsmen have bestowed on her.
