Introduction of N5,000 is not a big deal – Gbadamosi

Rasheed Gbadamosi

Renowned industrialist, Rasheed Gbadamosi told Saturday Vnaguard that the planned introduction of N5,000 note into the economy is not a enough to attract the criticisms it has thus far generated.

Your reaction on the planned introduction of N5,000 note into the economy?

It is just an expression of value. People are just making noise out of it. That is all.

Rasheed Gbadamosi

But won’t it have any impact on the economy?

No! whatever is on a piece of paper, you take the expressed value. It is just what it is, a piece of paper. It is just a mere psychology that this would do this  and this will do that. But I’m sorry there is a lot of uninformed behaviour.

What are the misinformed representations?

People are being prejudiced by what we call money illusion.

That is what is it is. You use the piece of paper to express value and so long it can exchange for your desired goods or commodity that is the end of the story. For me it is not a big deal at all.
