Super Falconets of Nigeria would today confront their opponent, DR Congo in Kinshasa in the return leg, final round of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier with both countries seeking a place in the finals in Japan in August.

Nigeria won the first leg 4-0 in Abeokuta and the Edwin Okon-tutored side are confident they would overcome the stiff opposition of the Congolesse.

Media officer of the team, Ejiro Babafemi however, disclosed to Saturday Vanguard Sports that the team are in a very high spirit and battle ready to end what they started  in Abeokuta a fortnight ago.

“The girls are fully prepared for the match in Congo DR. Our victory in Abeokuta two weeks ago gives us an edge over our opponents but  we are  aware that our match in Kinshasha is going to be a different ball game,” Babafemi said.

She added that, “The girls are also aware that no team is a push-over and that it is not over until it is over. In all, they have promised not to under-rate the Congolese because they know how good they are but we certainly do not fear them. It is a battle and we are determined to win, not to draw.”
