Airtel to showcase Nigeria’s largest 3.75G network at ICT congress

Leading telecommunications services provider, Airtel Nigeria has concluded arrangements to showcase the latest data and Internet offerings on its newly upgraded 3.75G network at this year’s edition of the West African Information and Communication Technology (WAFICT) congress, billed for Tuesday, May 8  at the Eko Hotel, Lagos.

According to the company, WAFICT 2012 will provide a credible platform to further demonstrate Airtel’s exciting and innovative data offerings, adding that Airtel currently has the largest 3.75G network in Nigeria, covering all the 36 states including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Speaking on the company’s sponsorship and participation at the ICT congress, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Airtel Nigeria, Rajan Swaroop said, the Telco operator is excited to be partnering with WAFICT, saying that it will use the forum to exhibit some of its latest value propositions in its data/Internet product’s segment.

Organizers of WAFICT 2012 congress and exhibition say the event will open new horizons, introduce new technologies and provide greater insights for governments and regulators in the sub-region to benefit from new trends and potentials in the technological arena.
