Former Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Chief Godfrey Dikeocha, has been released by his abductors after keeping him for over two months.
Saturday Vanguard gathered that the peaceful, soft-spoken former lawmaker was kidnapped from his country home, Uvuru, Aboh Mbaise local council area of Imo State.
Dikeocha was whisked away into unlawful incarceration by his abductors a day to the National Delegates election of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
His kith and kin adopted him before the election, as their sole candidate and even on the day of the poll, PDP loyalists in Aboh Mbaise insisted that the former Speaker remained their preferred candidate for the job.
His community went into wild jubilation as Dikeocha breathed the air of freedom Thursday night,
