Certification breakdown

“In the cause of the audit exercises, where non-conformances are observed and are effectively corrected within specified time frame, the system will retain the certificate. However, the certificate will be withdrawn if the structures in place for certification break down and necessary corrective actions are not taken on observed non-conformances.”

Managing Director and Chief Executive of Intercontinental Distillers Ltd, Engr. Patrick Anegbe, enumerated the significance of the ISO 9001: 2008 certificate to his organisation. His words: This award/recognition is a marketing tool and the certification is a stamp of consistent quality recognized globally.

Apart from image enhancement of our company, the ISO certification will also serve as a competitive edge in the marketing of our brands both within and outside the country. The IDL has already been awarded the Nigerian Industrial Standard (NIS) mark for product quality and consistency.

Therefore, the ISO certification of our quality management system further demonstrates IDL’s commitment to quality and represents reassurance to our numerous customers that or brands are world class.”
