Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State has appointed Yinka Salard Akinterinwa his Special Assistant, SA, on Communication.

Yinka’s younger brother, Wale Akinterinwa was a former Commissioner for Finance in the Dr Mimiko led government.

His elder brother Yinka, a grassroots politician is popular in the political circle as Yinka Salard.

The elder Akinterinwa graduated from the University of Calarbar in 1982.

He served with the Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation as a Youth Corper between 1982 and 1983 after which he joined New Generation Advertising Ltd as a Copy Writer and rose to the position of Head Creative Department.

Akinterinwa Senior also functioned at various times as the Chairman, FS&T Advertising, Managing Director, Views Terrains Ltd, Text Master General Ltd and also owned a weekly publication, Weekly Impact.

The Ile Oluji born professional cum politician had earlier attended Gboluji Grammar School Ile Oluji, The Apostolic Church Grammar School Orishigun, Ketu and The Polytechnic Ibadan.
