Heads will soon roll at struggling NPL outfit Shooting Stars, top officials have warned.
Despite a massive re-organisation in the off-season, ‘The Oluyole Warriors’ are still struggling in the NPL this season.
They are now 12th on the table with 16 points from 12 matches.
Youthful Oyo State sports commissioner, Dapo Lam Adesina, has now come down hard on the players of the Ibadan club, saying they have four matches to prove they are good enough to compete in the top flight or they will pay for lack of results.
“Heads will roll if you fail to perform in your next four games,” Adesina told the players Wednesday.
“We have sacrificed a lot for you and now it is your turn to deliver.
“Enough of the disgrace. You boys now have to perform.”
Of the four games in Adesina’s ultimatum, three of these matches are away games – at Kano Pillars, Heartland and Kaduna United.
MTNFootball.com scooped that the new Shooting Stars board are far from impressed with the quality of the players signed for the season and it is understood that it will not be long before some far-reaching decisions are taken.
