IKE NWIBE, LAGOS STATE
Ike started his career in the development sector in 2002, after his secondary education. He is the founder of Centre for Leadership and Social Enterprise Development; a youth-focused social enterprise with the vision of raising young social entrepreneurs who are true leaders and positive citizens in the society.

He has worked in such capacities as Project Management, Volunteer Program Development and Management, Youth Development and Transition Management.

He has also worked with various Non-Governmental Organizations like Voluntary Service Overseas UK, Future Hope Foundation of Nigeria, GIVE Nigeria (aka Civil Society Network for Volunteering Development), and Life Vanguards Nigeria. He is currently a Director and Project Manager at ImpactHouse International.

Ike is a fellow of Dekeyser and Friends Foundation Germany and also a returned volunteer on World Youth Exchange Program of Voluntary Service Overseas UK. He was part of the Nigerian delegation to Generations for Peace Camp in Abu Dhabi UAE in 2009. He was a legislative Intern at the Nigeria National Assembly in 2008, where he gained practical skills and experience in democracy, leadership development and governance. He holds qualifications in Human Resource Management and Public Relations.

Uche is fondly referred to as a priest of poetry.  His works show commitment to performance poetry (in much blend with contemporary music) and the spoken word, as a part of  his vocation and lifestyle.  He is an English graduate of the Lagos State University Ojo -2006.

He has featured  in several Nigerian movies. Uche is the author of a book titled ‘SCAR in the HEART of pain’ and its spoken word album. The poetry collection was published by BlackArts, while the album was produced by Tuntout Records.

Growing up in Ajegunle (AJ) for him has been the cradle of what he regards as “numerous tall ambitions, thus at every point or level of achievement I get to, that beginning and idea conjure my unfalling focus and undeniable reason to be grateful to my home.”

In 2006, he won the ANA Lagos poetry festival (poetry performance) prize and in 2010, he  won the June poetry craze contest. Same year in November 2010, he came second place in the Ken Saro-Wiwa Writing Competition for poetry-2011.

He also won the June Loudthotz Poetry contest 2011 and directed the overall winning Poetry Performance of district 5 Education Board for the Lagos State Jam Feast Competition 2011, and the overall winning Performance Poem of Alakoto Senior High School, Tolu Complex 2011 at the International Arts Festival – P.L.A.Y by G.T Bank. His poems have been published in the ‘Lime Jewel’ collection-London 2010 amongst other publications.

Uche has worked as a continuity man/ writer for TV commercials, musicals, Reality TV shows currently The Heir Apparent, and presently, he is an independent television presenter/researcher with Konto Music and works towards his latest spoken-word-rap album titled ‘E’FI MI LE’ joo’or’.
