Warri Wolves striker Jude Aneke has told Goal.com that the team will go for a win in their first leg Confederation Cup game against FC Kallon of Sierra Leone this weekend.

Aneke who is the record goal scorer in the Nigeria Premier League noted that they have prepared very well for the game and only a victory will sooth the nerves of the players, officials and fans.

“I am optimistic that we are going to win this match. We have trained very well and the players are in high spirits. After the 2-0 victory over Kwara United, I told myself that nothing will stop us from getting the needed victory over FC Kallon,” Aneke told Goal.com.

“I am not underrating the team from Sierra Leone, but we are the better side considering our pedigree. We have a good coach in Maurice Cooreman and the management has been fantastic in the way they have motivated us.

“The only result that will make all of us happy is a resounding victory. And I know that we are going to get that victory,” Aneke said.

Coach Maurice Cooreman also revealed that it is going to be a good game for his boys.

“I am hoping that the boys will rise to the occasion and when they do, we will come back to Warri with a good victory that will make the second leg easy for us to handle”.

Warri Wolves travelled  with a 29 man delegation for the game against FC Kallon of Sierra Leone, billed to be played on Saturday March 24, at the National Stadium, Free Town.
