Abuja – President Goodluck Jonathan will leave Abuja Saturday evening for Seoul, the South Korean Capital, for the World Nuclear Security Summit.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, said in a statement in Abuja on Friday that Jonathan would be leading Nigeria’s delegation to the Summit that would open on March 26.
He stated that Jonathan and 52 other Heads of State and International Organisations are expected to participate in the summit.
Abati explained that the summit would discuss global cooperative measures to combat the threat of nuclear terrorism, the
protection of nuclear materials and related facilities, as well as the prevention of illicit trafficking in nuclear materials.
He added that the President, on the sidelines of the Summit, would hold bilateral talks with other world leaders and meet with representatives of the Nigerian Community in South Korea.
