It was a joyful moment for the faithful of God’s Own Covenant Mission as they celebrated the third anniversary of the church located at Okota Road, Atinuke Shopping Complex, Okota Lagos. The theme of the celebration was “Grace to fulfill destiny”(I Corinthians 15: 9710).

Bishop Tom Samson of Christ Royal Family International, Egbeda, Lagos who preached the sermon on the above theme said Christians needed grace to fulfill their destiny, adding that “because of our disobedience to God’s commands, Satan has been using that to hinder our destiny”. He said only the grace of God could make us to meet our destiny.

On his part, the host pastor, Pastor Amanze George said the occasion was to share God’s goodness on his life and the church. He advised Christians to keep to the tenets of truth, holiness and righteousness, adding: “What ever challenges you are facing today, don’t give up. God did not tell us that the way to Christianity was an easy one. Every Christian should understand that every challenge is to prove our faith in God.”

On the current security challenges in the country, Pastor George, said: “These are the signs of end time. I want to encourage President Goodluck Jonathan that these challenges are to make him who he is. God installed him the president of this country because He knows that he can pilot the affairs of the country”.

The cleric said the security challenges should not take the President away from his mission and vision for this country, adding that he should be focussed because he is there for a purpose. He, however, advised him to put adequate security measure in place. He equally ad vised Nigerians to be patient with the President, saying with time things will be put right.
