The Police in Nsukka, Enugu State are interrogating a suspected false prophet for sexually abusing his fellow men on the ground of carrying out weekly crusade in the name of God.
Crime Guard learnt that the false prophet, Ekene Amoke, who hails from Enugu- Ezike, Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area was conducting a weekly crusade in the name of God and allegedly seeing false vision and miracles that forced people, mostly youths, to throng the crusade ground every Friday.
It was gathered that the he uses trick to win souls for himself for an all night love affair with his fellow man by telling the person that he would cast out demon on him at midnight after crusade hours.
He also tells them that somebody blocked their sisters from getting married and that there is need for midnight praise and worship only to turn the victim into a sex bag.
When news of his sexual exploits broke open, youths from Ozi Edem village where he was operating from spoiled for a showdown insisting that he must be made to publicly deny or acknowledge the allegation. They dragged him to the traditional ruler of the town, Igwe Hyacinth Ugwu Ezema where he confessed his homosexuality.
He also confessed to have sexually abused at least, eight young men in the name of offering prayers for them, stating that he was lured into homosexuality by a popular Nigerian musician in Lagos.
Soon after his confession, the irate youths stripped him naked but the traditional ruler stopped further action and handed him over to police for investigations.
The Monarch told Crime Guard that he invited the self-acclaimed prophet to question the authority of which he carries out the crusade, explaining that the parish priest of the village, Rev. Fr. Ujam had earlier issued stern warning that people should stop attending the crusade but the young ones would not listen.
Contacted for comments, a competent senior police officer who preferred anonymity confirmed the story stressing that the suspect will be charged to court of law as soon as investigations are concluded into the matter.
