Come Saturday, March 17, Ekiti State will play host to the selected members of the Actors Guild of igeria(AGN) who will converge there for the much awaited general election of the guild.

The outgoing president of the guild, Segun Arinze  disclosed this development to HVP, recently in Lagos.
Arinze is not contesting for a second term, despite pressure from members of the guild that he should not vacate office.

His refusal to re-contest has however left the floor open for the Secretary-General of the guild, Emeka Rollas, actress Ibinabo Fibresima and Steve Eboh to battle for the number one seat in AGN during the election. The three candidates, as staunch members of the guild stand a chance of emerging the next President of AGN.

Only recently, actress Stella Damasus joined the race as she is vying for the position of the vice president, while Yakubu Abubakar, the outgoing Publicity Secretary wants to become the next  Secretary-General of the guild.

HVP  gathered that Sonny MacDon has been appointed Chairman of  the guild’s Electoral Committee (AGNEC).
