Uba lauds Anambra Pdp registration

By Innocent Anaba
Senator Andy Uba, representing Anambra South  senatorial district, has commended  the  on- going registration of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, members in Anambra State, describing it as a new dawn for the party and democracy in the country.

Uba, in a statement after a visit to most of the centres in the state, yesterday,  said: “I must commend the conduct of the on-going PDP registration exercise in my state.

After visiting most of the centers, I was impressed with what I saw. This is not only the begininng of  a new dawn, but  an indication that the PDP has reclaimed the state.”

The impressive turn out of members  is indicative of their  resolve  to return to the mainstream of Nigerian politics.

”We shall continue to ensure that all that were lost in the past are restored to the people who remain the focal point of our programme,” he added.

He assured that the exercise would go a long way in bringing back many, who had left the party due to  intral party conflict which led the party losing the governorship election to APGA.

Uba  himself moved to Labour Party, where he contested the governorship election before returning to the party after peace was brokered among the warring parties.

The registration exercise is expected to be rounded off on today.
