The Nigerian Under23 team defeated the  Algeria team 4-1 at the ongoing 2012 Olympic qualification tournament in Marrakech, Morocco on Friday.

Austin Eguavoen’s men who has suffered severe defeats to Morocco (0-1) and Senegal (1-2) came up in the game against the Algerian angrily that was after the Algerian through  Baghdad Bounedjah at the 42 minute scored the first goal of the encounter. At the 47minute Nigerian boys through Raheem Lawal commenced the scoring spree at the 47, 75, 85, Danny Uchechi 86

The mathematical chance of progressing to the semifinals at the Caf Under23 Championship seem destroyed as  Senegal  also took victory over the Moroccan team 1-0
All the Group A teams – Morocco, Algeria, Senegal and Nigeria and as it stands Senegal and Morocco  qualify for the next round
