LAGOS—A young man escaped death at Festac Town, yesterday, as a motorist lost control of his vehicle and knocked him down.

The accident, which occurred at 7th Avenue, involved an SUV vehicle which veered off its lane as a result of brake failure.

Eyewitness told Vanguard that the owner of the SUV jeep lost control and ran into a passerby whose identity was not disclosed.

Vanguard also learnt that the driver of the vehicle could not explain what really happened to him, but suspected brake failure.

The victim, whose identity could not be ascertained at press time, was rushed to a private clinic where he is receiving treatment for injuries.
