Heartland of Owerri Football Club , will next season enjoy a reconstructed Dan Anyam stadium in Owerri as it is currently under a facelift ahead of the new season.

After winning the 2011 Federation Cup with Dutch Manager Lodewijk de Kruif in Lagos, beating last year’s runners-up Enyimba of Aba, Imo State governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha pledged to support the team and may have started with the reconstruction of the stadium.

Meanwhile, the governor has redeemed the N1 million he promised each of the players for their Federation Cup victory. Heartland will represent Nigeria in the CAF Confederation Cup next year.
