Bonke’s crusade not against Uduaghan – Cleric

BY FESTUS AHON

UGHELL – CHAIRMAN of Christian Association of Nigerian, CAN, Ughelli North Local Government Area, chapter, Bishop Diamond Emuobor, yesterday, said the recent Reihand Bonke crusade in Ughelli was not against the administration of the Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan as reported in some local tabloids.

Emuobor, reacting to the media reports, said the crusade was for the development of Ughelli, Delta State and Nigeria as a whole, insisting that CAN was in partnership with the state government.

He said: “We members of CAN in Ughelli rejects in its entirety, the report in the media. We reiterate that the crusade was in tandem with the state government. The crusade was devoid of any political tendency.

“The essence of the crusade was to ask God to favour the Urhobo nation in the rulership of this nation. The crusade is still working miracles in the area.

He urged Nigerians to learn to forgive one another.  Emoubor, who is the presiding Bishop of the Trinity Gospel Mission, Ughelli, added, “forgiveness is God’s advice to His people.”
