Three contestants, Emmanuel, Joba and Chidinma were evicted from the on-going MTN Project Fame West Africa academy as another six were placed on probation during the charged nomination show last weekend.
The evicted trio, who were earlier placed on probation alongside Rachel, Roy, Ruth and Princess at the penultimate week’s show, bade farewell to the musical academy after failing to secure any of the factors that could redeem them from probation.
Rachel was favored by the viewers’ vote which was presented by Ms Yetunde Oredugba of Alexander Forbes Consulting, Roy was saved by the Judges, Ruth was saved by the faculty while the remaining contestants who are not on probation voted to save Princess.

Evicted: Chidinma, Emmanuel and Joba
The drama continued at the nomination show on Sunday as the Judges placed another set of six contestants on probation, following performances that fell below the standard set by the contestants themselves.
Meanwhile, the nomination show started with the classic, “By the rivers of Babylon” and “The Earth song” by Michael Jackson, beautifully combined and performed by all 10 contestants featuring PlayHouse Voices, who glided in beautifully, taking everyone by surprise.
Princess started the night with an emotion-racked song “I am going down” originally performed by Rose Royce to the delight and commendation of the judges. Rachel performed ‘Loving you’ by Minnie Ripeton and got both the judges and faculty on their feet. Isaac’s “Just the two of Us” by Billy AWithers was a beauty to watch.
Yvonne’s rendition of “I will survive’, a song by Gloria Gaynor was so riveting that the judges commended her improvement in the academy. Ruth seemed to get off to a poor start as she sang “Respect” by “Aretha Franklyn”.
Roy attempted Barry white’s classic “My first, my last, my everything”; while Ese performed Mary J. Blige’s ‘Never too much’. Ethel’s “Superwoman” by Karyn and Velma’s ‘I have a dream’ were also commended by the Judges.
At the end of the performances, the judges announced the contestant on probation based on their performances. Isaac, Ethel, Ese, Roy, Ruth and Velma were not spared, as two of these six on probation would be evicted on Saturday.
