The people of Ogwashi-Uku in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State have petitioned Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, asking him to reconsider his decision to re-appoint Prof. Andy Egwunyega as Rector of Delta State Polytechnic located in their domain.

Eminent citizens of the community, after a meeting under the aegis of Ogwashi-Uku Development Union, ODU, said they were opposed to the reappointment of the out-going Rector, whom they alleged did not handle the affairs of the institution well in his first four years in office.

ODU, in the petition to Uduaghan, said: “As a matter of fact, we want the state government to investigate the employment policy of Prof. Egwunyega.”
