ABAKALIKI—AN ice cream vendor, identified as Mr. Emmanuel Elom, was last Monday found dead on the popular Water Works road in Abakaliki metropolis while his motorcycle with plate number: Ebonyi QP 799 ABL was standing in front of him. He was a father of three.
The scene attracted a mammoth crowd from different parts of Abakaliki metropolis, including his relatives, who were shocked at the sight of his corpse, wondering what could have led to his demise.
Vanguard gathered that the deceased who was a native of Amaezekwe, in Ezza South Local Government Area of Ebony State, was an ice cream supplier at 5 Aguluezechukwu Street in Abakaliki and that before his lifeless body was discovered on Water Works road, he had at about 5:30pm on Sunday gone to where one of his brothers wanted to open a shop but didn’t return.
Some of the passersby who spoke with our correspondent said nobody could say exactly what happened to the deceased as there was no evidence of accident at the spot where his corpse was found.
