FUPRE’s problem is administration – Activist

Following reports of management crisis in the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, FUPRE, Ugbomro, Delta State, a Niger Delta activist, Mr. Emma Akpovoka, has said the problem confronting the institution was maladministration.

He said the poor administartion led to lack of infrastructure and non-accreditation of the academic programmes.

He said: “It is shocking and unfortunate that for almost five years Prof. Alabi and Mrs. Linda Onwuka, outgoing Vice Chancellor, and outgoing Registrar, respectively, were res-ponsible for the day to day running of the university without interference.

“So if there is any management crisis in the university, both of them should be held accountable.”
