National Association of Edo State Students, NAESS, yesterday, said it remains the only recognised student association in charge of the organisation and welfare of Edo State students in tertiary institutions nationwide and not Coalition of Edo State Students Association, CESSA, led by one Innocent Ebhotemen.

National president of NAESS, Mr. Pius Ekuaze, in a statement in Benin, weekend, said: “Our attention has been drawn to a publication in the media that Edo State students, under the aegis of CESSA, have backed Prof. Oserheimen Osun-bor’s guber ambition.

“We wish to state that CESSA does not exist and as such has no locus standi to endorse or back Osunbor or any other governorship aspirant in the state.”
