Amosun, NPAN, others mourn Ibru

Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, members of the Newspapers Proprietors Association of Nigeria, NPAN, and the Nigerian Union of Journalist, NUJ, Friday visited the Lagos State residence of the late Guardian Publisher, Mr. Alex Ibru, to commiserate with the family.

Amosun, who was received by his predecessor in office, Chief Segun Osoba, his counterpart in Delta State governor, Olorogun Felix Ibru and other members of the Ibru family, described Ibru’s death as not only a loss his immediate family but to Nigeria as a whole.

Those who were at the Ibrus yesterday also included NPAN President and Publisher of Thisday, Nduka Obaigbena, Managing Director, Sun Publishing Ltd, Tony Onyima,for her late husband, health wise, since the failed attempt on his life during the regime of late Gen. Sani Abacha, 15 years ago.

He has passed on but family members and associates will find solace in the fact that he lived a fulfilled life dedicated to the service of God and humanity. May God Almighty grant him perfect peace”.
