Umuahia-ABIA State Government has embarked on the dualization of two of the major roads that lead to Umuahia, the state capital. This, the government said is to tackle traffic problems in the capital city.
The two roads are Bende Road, which is a federal road and links the capital to northern parts of the state, Bende, Ohafia, Arochukwu, among others.
The other is the old Umuahia-Ubakala road which is one of the main roads that links the state capital with Aba, and Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital.
The dualization of Bende road began from the Abia Tower roundabout located at the heart of the capital and terminates around Isieke area, after the Police headquarters.
