Starcomms partners Edo, Delta govts to battle poverty

TOP CDMA operator, Starcomms Plc, in its effort to support the poverty eradication in Nigeria, has joined Edo and Delta State Governments in their poverty eradication initiatives, making donations to give the projects some materials to the Edo State Government.

The donation, according to the CEO of Starcomms Plc,Mr. Logan Pather, in Lagos, was part of the organisation’s support for the Edo State Government.

It is also worthy to note that the Edo state Government has granted Starcomms a Tele-centre order in the state, which will help provide employment opportunities for about 500 people in Edo and Delta States especially cities like; Warri, Benin, Sapele, Oghara and Mosogar and some other cities within Starcomms coverage.This will aid the quick access of the internet and other digital technologies, learn, communicate plus develop essential digital skills.

In order to kick-start this initiative, Starcomms has donated tables, chairs, parasols and heavily subsidized phones to the Edo State Government.
