Katsina—Deputy Senate Minority Whip and Leader of Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, in the National Assembly, Senator Abu Ibrahim has called on opposition parties in the country to come together and save the nation from imminent collapse.

Ibrahim who spoke in an interview with Vanguard in Katsina weekend said, the country was drifting dragerously, adding that those in opposition should not fold their arms and allow the ship of state to capsize before coming together to rescue it.

The third time Senator who said he had a convenant with the Nigerian masses regretted that those in positions of authority at the federal level had lost focus on how to administer the country, warning however, that it was not yet too late to do something about the situation.

He said: “Already we have a working pact involving CPC, Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, All Nigerian Peoples Party, ANPP, and Labour Party, LP. If we can come together and save this country from the grip of the ruling People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Nigeria will witness tremendous progress.”

“The ruling party from their utterances, activities and inactions, is confused on security and national policies which is affecting the growth of this country.”

“PDP has grown to inertia, It is no longer capable of ruling and its members  are no longer capable of moving this country forward .

’’The only way we can do this is for ACN,CPC, ANPP, LP and other parties to fuse together under one umbrella now that there will be no election until four years,” he said.

Ibrahim said that his greatest constituency project now was to work with his people to realise the creation of Karaduwa State from the present Katsina state, adding, “I will commit all my time, my energy and the resources I can muster towards the creation of Karaduwa State because I think it is the first need of southern Katsina people”.

According to him, his other priority was to ensure the creation of job opportunities for the teeming unemployed youths in the area just as he plegded to assist farmers.
