Dare-devil robbers recently stormed house number 21 on Mobolenin street, in Ijebu-Ode area of Ogun state, leaving in their trail, the death of one of their victims identified as Nicholas Ogbonna.

It was learnt that the robbers numbering four, stormed the deceased apartment at about 11pm, pretending to be visitors. An unsuspecting  member of  the Ogbona family who went to open the door, after one of the unwelcome visitors introduced himself as a member of the family, was reportedly hit with the butt of the gun before ordering other members who were watching television in the sitting room to lie flat on the floor.

Unknown to the Ogbonnas , the bandits had carried a door-to-door operation where they locked other occupants inside , with their handsets seized. But after robbing the Ogbonnas,  one of the armed men reportedly shot 45-year-old Nicolas, as he was about to adjust from his position, a move the robbers apparently thought was to attack one of them. They thereafter, left the apartment, while efforts to save Nicolas life failed as he gave up the ghost before reaching the hospital.

The good news however , is that the Ogun state Police Command has arrested the perpetrators of the dastardly act. According to spokesman of the command, Mr Olumuyiwa Adejobi , Policemen swung into action and during investigation, it was discovered that one of the suspects was recognized by the victims, when his hood slipped off his face.
