IBADAN-Some chieftains of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, in Oyo State are planning a heroic welcome for the immediate past Governor of the state, Adebayo Alao-Akala detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over alleged misappropriation of N20billion any time he is released.

Chairman of the PDP faction loyal to the ex-governor, Alhaji Dejo Afolabi, disclosed this at a forum where hundreds of All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP, in Ona Ara Local Government who defected to the PDP were received by Oloye Jumoke Akinjide, at the weekend.

He urged members of the party not to be discouraged by the arrest of the former governor saying on Monday, they would welcome him with pomp and pageantry.
