NIEEE advises FG on power reform

The 7th international conference of the Nigeria Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, NIEEE, has ended in Warri, Delta State, with the conference noting that the power reform programme of the Federal Government should show transparency.

According to the institute, for the sector to achieve success the engi-neers must use the flexi-ble AC Transmission Sys-tem to enhance the exis-ting transmission lines.

It also recommended that solid state circuit breakers be used to check faulty current levels.

The conference also recommended that appro-priate security agencies should update their knowledge through trai-ning, adding that there should be an increased awareness on the nega-tive effect of ICT system.
