As Nigeria awaits reconstitution of the board of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, the Federated Oil and Gas Producing Communities of Niger Delta, FOGPCOND, says retirement of Pastor Power Aginighan was a blessing as President Goodluck Jonathan currently seeks patriots for his transformational agenda.

FOGPCOND President, Chief Kingsley Arthur, in a statement, said Aginighan’s courage in the face of the forces against NDDC during his brief spell as acting Managing Director, reflected his capacity and passion for the region.

He said: “As Secretary of the Ijaw Coordinating Committee which metamorphosed into the Ijaw National Congress, INC, the umbrella body of Ijaw, Aginighan can be described as one of the founding fathers of Ijaw nation.”
