A memorial service to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the tragic death of frontline journalist, Mr. Dele Giwa, has been organised in Lagos by the family and friends of the late media executive.

The service, will hold on October 19, 2011, at the Archbishop Vining Memorial Church Cathedral, GRA.  Ikeja, Lagos.

Dele Giwa, one of the founding fathers of the Newswatch Magazine, of which he was Editor-in-Chief, was killed via a letter bomb on October 19, 1986, at his Talabi Street residence, Ikeja, Lagos.

His death elicited widespread national and international grief, alarm and condemnation, and has officially remained an unsolved mystery till date.
