Killer-police officers dismissed

Asaba-the four drunk policemen, who killed three persons during a funeral at Kwale last month, have been dismissed from service after facing an orderly room trial. They are currently awaiting prosecution.

The burial ceremony that took place in Akoko village, Kwale, Delta State, ended in a fiasco following the killing of three persons as other guests scampered for safety.

Public Relations department of the state Police Command had told Vanguard, “on September 11, at about 3pm, one Bro-derick (surname withheld) of Akoko village reported that his friend Fidelis (surname withheld) of Ogume village, Kwale, came with some policemen to grace the burial of his late father at Akoko village.”

He stated further that while the ceremony was going on, the policemen, namely Cpl Emmanuel Jacob, PC Ogala Osamud-iamwan, PC Otutu Justine, PC Joseph Godspower all attached to Kwale Division, got drunk and embarked on indiscriminate shooting, killing three persons. The Policemen were arrested.”
